Another year????

Well, anyone interested in work plans for 2012?

We felt really good about getting these things done last year:
1. Bury drainage pipe along house
2. Build two window boxes for courtyard in back
3. Prime and paint Becky's room
4. Prime and paint bathroom
5. Paint 4 window boxes purple
6. Cut down dead tree by garage
7. Install ceiling fans in kids rooms

I'm sure we can come up with a list for this year..... maybe even some prep work for a hot tub. We can keep dreaming!

The Spragues 2009

What a fun summer we had being a part of the our work co-op for our 2nd year. It is truly a fun way to spend some great time with wonderful friends and get your jobs done at the same time. As Steve said, we are all skilled in different areas.

I have love to paint and have a shirt and pair of pants that now represents every house's painting project - Emma's room, Stockton's kitchen, Fox's bathroom, Fox's awning.

For 2009, my 10 year dream of re-landscaping our front yard finally came true!!! I had a master Gardener friend draw up plans and the Co-op put the plans in action. What an awesome 2 days!!! And what a transformation. Thanks so much all for your hard work!!! We are looking forward to 2010!!! Other projects we worked on were fixing the trim on our bathroom, fixed our kids beds - wooden slats broke (NO MORE KIDS JUMPING ON THE BED!) and attached the hook on the back of the bathroom door. Doesn't seem much but the front yard took up a lot of work!!! Thank you everyone!!! Pictures will be up soon.

2010 Planning Time Meal

It's time to plan a meal soon. We (the Foxes) would be happy to host. Maybe some time in December or at the latest early January. I figure, the sooner the better. Not for planning, but another excuse to all get together for some good food, drink and conversation.

Bring your calendars, of course!

Welcome to our happy home improvement co-op

Since the spring of 2007, we've been gathering at one another's homes to help do whatever is needed. Projects have included yard makeovers, tearing out walls, installing cupboards, fixing all sorts of little things, putting in beautiful plants, painting, digging, and just about every other sort of home improvement project you can think of.

We've been organized enough to keep this going for three years and hope to go on for many more. During this time we've sorted out the details of food, kids, prep work, and fun, in order to keep everyone involved happy to get some work done and even more happy to strengthen strong friendships.
